American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts arrive in Malta at The Phoenicia.

The Phoenicia’s 70-year long-line of firsts has aligned with global travel’s discovery of the Maltese Islands and this time in the form of American Express Travel’s Fine Hotels and Resorts who have included The Phoenicia in the 2018 Fine Hotels and Resorts Programme, the only Maltese hotel to be given this prestigious accolade. American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts is the luxury hotel booking service for American Express Platinum cardholders.

The Phoenicia Malta embarked on a careful and sensitive restoration and refurbishment programme under the guidance of Architecture Project by Peter Young Design and Mary Fox Linton, world-renowned interior designer. The restoration of this acclaimed heritage hotel, was approached with careful consideration to detail as specified by Gordon Campbell Gray across all rooms and suites, public areas, bars, restaurants and a spectacular new infinity pool in the 7.5 acre gardens.
